PROJECT:   Life History Strategies of Brown Trout (Salmo trutta)

A Differentiate between resident and migratory brown trout during early ontogeny Will allow for populations/proportions of migratory and resident brown trout to be determined during early ontogeny
B The role of environment (stream productivity) on the adoption of migratory and resident life history of Salmo trutta May be used as an indicator to determine proportions of migratory and resident brown trout that may be expected in a stream.
C Identification of the critical habitat of sea trout May allow for stream restoration, protection of critical habitat and improvement of sea trout stocks
